Grants of up to $25,000 are available to Bay Area non-profit and community groups to support air quality education and engagement.

The grants are offered by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District for “non-technical activities such as active transportation educational campaigns, urban greening projects and environmental justice community engagement projects,” according to the agency.

Details on the grant program, intended to reduce air pollution and the region’s impact on global climate, are available online at www.baaqmd.gov/grants. Questions can be directed to Ana Vasudeo at communitygrants@baaqmd.cov.

Grant applications are due by 5 p.m. on June 7 and must be uploaded at https://baaqmd.bonfirehub.com/.

The district will hold a webinar and informational session at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. To register for the webinar, people can go to https://bit.ly/2GfkShU.
