Animal rescue to hosts International Homeless Animals Day
CLARION Tri-County Animal Rescue will hold their sixth annual International Homeless Animals Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 18 at Veterans Memorial Park in Clarion.
IHAD is held to raise awareness about the pet overpopulation epidemic and promote spaying and neutering of pets.
There will be raffle baskets, music, vendors, games for kids and a pet parade at this event.
Attendees can enter for a chance to win one of two donations of laminate flooring from Kronospan over 400 square feet each.
A blessing of the animals will be held at noon with Pastor Stephanie Weaver of the Sligo Presbyterian Church presiding.
Attendees can also meet representatives and some of their animals from other rescues.Awards will be presented to animal advocates.
The event will close with a pinwheel memorial service.
The event is open to the public and TCAR invites everyone to come join the fun and learn about responsible pet ownership.
