• Despite multiple reports from his own government that call global warming a threat to national security, President Trump plans to set up a panel to examine the question again. It will include William Happer, a climate denialist who has said that carbon dioxide benefits humanity.
• Mr. Trump heightened his attacks on the press this week, praising a libel lawsuit against The Washington Post, calling for “retribution” against NBC over “Saturday Night Live” and issuing his sharpest words yet against The Times, which he called “a true ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!”
