Wednesday was a night of unity for people across South Bend.
Folks from the East and West sides came together tonight over a common love of food.
it was West Side Wednesday as well as Purple Porch’s farmer’s market.
So to bring people from different sides of the city to try food they normally wouldn’t, the two events combined tonight to show the other side the best they had to offer.
“I think a part of it is that there’s a lot of interesting stuff going on the West side that maybe people that shop with us regularly don’t know about and vice-versa,” Purple Porch Co-Op General Manager Myles Robertson said.
“And a lot of our folks on the west side don’t really get out to the east side much,” West Side South Bend Coordinator Christin Kloski said. “So I always say ‘beyond the bridge’ so they are able to do that today.”
Both West Side Wednesday and the farmers market happen every week if you missed out on Wednesday..
