Travel show to benefit four local nonprofits April 2

Accent on Travel has chosen four local nonprofit organizations to receive the proceeds of its annual travel show, set for 4 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, at Rehoboth Beach Yacht & Country Club.

Meals on Wheels Delaware, Children’s Beach House, CAMP Rehoboth and Great Futures, a division of Boys & Girls Club, were selected as this year’s Luxury & Expedition Travel Show proceed recipients.

Representing all styles of vacations around the world, 28 travel companies will bring their sales management staff to the event for one-on-one discussions with past passengers and new travelers in attendance.

Traditional and luxury cruise lines in attendance will Include Regent Seven Seas, Crystal Cruises, Silversea Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, AmaWaterways, Holland America Line, Seabourn Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Cunard Line and  Princess Cruises.

Expedition-style cruises will be represented by Ponant, Hurtigruten & Lindblad Expeditions.

Sailing-style vacations will be represented by Star Clipper and The Moorings Yacht Charters. Tour companies include Backroads bike tours, Globus Vacations, Insight Vacations, CIE Tours and Natural Habitat for wildlife viewing.

Resort travel management will be from Classic Vacations, Apple Vacations, Luxury Hotels of the World representing Nobu and Unico properties.

Optional short informational presentations on African safaris will be set up in the Safari Dessert Lounge.

Sales management members of Viking Cruises will give insights on where Viking Ocean and Viking River will go next.

Rocky Mountaineer will give listeners a visual presentation of the Canadian Rocky Daylight Rail Tour experience.

Oceania Cruises will give insights on world cruising on a foodie cruise ship.

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises Sales will show off the beautiful new river ships in Portugal, Italy and Vietnam, and offer a peek at India itineraries.

Abercrombie & Kent management will introduce listeners to the hottest destinations and styles of travel including private jet journeys.

Accent on Travel owner Annette Nero Stellhorn said, “Travel is exciting, fun, and experiential. We want our guests to feel that when they come to our travel show. Jim Gray, a local event designer, will be bringing as much of the African Safari theme to the venue as possible without bringing in live animals. We invite the public to come out and learn about exciting travel opportunities that could be ahead of them and support either of these great organizations. And, for those who have already been to Africa, our theme this year, we invite them to pull out their own African garb and join us.”

Accent on Travel is the event host and tickets are available now. Attendees can choose their preferred nonprofit recipient when they purchase tickets. Tickets are $65 per person and include all activities during the event plus canapes and cocktails. The event is open to the public.
